Defined by:
Doing - Charitable financial & event planning success
The meaning behind the term “Renshi” describes Ian best. Renshi signifies “polished gentleman or Samurai” and means “to serve.” Serving defines Ian. His many successful charitable endeavours are an example of his giving nature, his entrepreneurial spirit and his ability to put both these and his project management skills to work. Ian founded a not-for-profit multi-disciplined triathlon sports club that motivates community members to follow a healthy lifestyle. He is the founder of Run4Hope, a charity running event that is in its 16th year, and as Race Director grew the event to over 400 participants in just three years. More than 100 thousand dollars have been raised with all funds directed towards Special Olympics, local family shelters, Big Brothers and Sisters, and Sky's the Limit. Additionally, Ian acted as Race Director for the Tour de Terra Cotta, a charitable bike-racing event that has become the provincial standard for road cycling racing events. Under Ian’s direction, the event grew from 120 participants to where over 700 now take part regularly. Still not satisfied, Ian describes one of his core strengths as humility and as such, is also a key contributor to the Karate Chops Cancer and Karate Chops Diabetes fundraising events, raising over 100 thousand dollars for William Osler in Peel. If Ian can do all this and more for charity – think what he can do when it comes to successfully managing and growing your wealth portfolio. With a background in business, education, and motivation, Ian is in the unique position of managing the well-being of clients utilizing his skill sets and more to provide a structured, sound and disciplined approach to managing his clients’ monetary wealth.
